About
Shelburne...
The small, historic harbour side town was the site in 1783 of
the Empire Loyalist landing in Canada and boasts one of the most
impressive collections of built wooden heritage in North America. We lie
beside one of the best harbours in the world, and are home also to a new
marina, yacht club and performing arts centre.
Additionally, there are four museums in
the Historic District and several cafes and restaurants, plus sports and
gift shops in town. One of Nova Scotia's finest golf courses is minutes
away, as are pristine beaches, cool lakes and flowing rivers. Quaint
fishing villages abound on the South Shore, as do a myriad of
professional and community entertainments.
LOCATION,
LOCATION, LOCATION! We are 60 minutes from
Yarmouth and the the U.S. ferries from Bar Harbour and Portland, 90
minutes from the Digby Ferry and 2 hours from Halifax. You can easily find us
on the map. For more information about Shelburne and the surrounding
